Derek Willis

Language trainer Derek Willis has been providing Business English language training to professionals for The Square Mile since 2005. He is from the UK and worked in sales for many years. His experience includes working for Mars Confectionary and as franchisee of Allied Dunbar Financial Services, which later became part of Zurich Assurance.

Derek decided to change careers later in life and he gained his diploma in “English Language Teaching to Adults” from The University of Cambridge. In addition he successfully completed a course specifically for Business English language training from The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His qualifications and experience meant he could pick and choose where he worked; he chose the Netherlands where he soon gained a good track record as a language trainer. Derek provides Business English language courses for a wide variety of organisations, from ministries and universities, to  I.T. and media companies.

What defines Derek as language trainer is his steadfast belief in the accomplishments of each individual participant. He believes everyone has the ability to improve their English.
