€1000 STAP subsidy for language training
A language course is the perfect way to improve your chances in the labour market. STAP is a new, personal budget for personal development made available to almost everyone working in the Netherlands. The yearly €1000 budget can be used to subsidize a professional Dutch, English, French, German or Spanish language course from The Square Mile.
A training with results
We deliver tailored, high-quality training with results. Experience shows that you need at least 30 hours of training supplemented by 20 hours of private study to really improve your language skills. That’s why we offer 30 hour, individual courses for the STAP programme. STAP pays €1000, you or your employer pays the rest. We offer:
- Personal training. 30 hours of 1-to 1 training with your professional trainer.
- Tailored approach. During your intake we evaluate your level, establish your learning objectives and context for the course.
- Flexible programmes. You follow the course at your own speed, with a minimum of one lesson of 2 hours each week.
- Online delivery. The course takes place through Zoom or Teams for efficient, easy delivery.
- Blended learning. We combine a variety of tools to make your course varied and relevant.
- Your course costs €2,850 including the intake and materials. Once you are awarded the STAP budget, you pay €1,850 (VAT exempt) and STAP pays us €1000 direct. We finalise your course once we receive confirmation of the STAP budget award and invoice you once the course planning is completed (30 days payment period).
- Should you not be awarded the STAP subsidy, you can withdraw from the course at no cost.
How does STAP work?
The next application round starts on Monday 3 July 2023 at 10.00. We expect the available budget will be used up within hours. We therefore advise the following steps:
- Visit the UWV STAP portaal today to see if you qualify for STAP subsidy or check Rijksoverheid.
- Enrol for your Business English, Business German, Business French, Business Spanish or Business Dutch course before 3 July 2023 through our dedicated registration page.
- Be prepared to register for STAP at the UWV STAP portaal on 3 July at 10.00 sharp. You will need your DigiD user details and the enrolment form you receive from us.
- Your enrolment on the course only becomes binding once you have been awarded the STAP subsidy.
